Causing quite a sensation in the Seattle Metro area, "Billboards" resurrected the notorious antics of restaurateur, Ivar Hagland, famous for his advertising publicity stunts. Shot on location in the Puget Sound, the commercials took on a life of it's own when residents and one Seattle Times staff reporter got a glimpse of the rising billboard. Fueled by nostalgia, the story of the found billboards immediately went viral! Tweets, a feature on a local television news station, and a front page spread in the Seattle Times left residents to wonder; could this be real?
